A Trip to the Moon with live music (Pandoo) and a documentary The Extraordinary Voyage

(Le voyage dans la lune) Director: Georges Méliès, F, 1902, , 90 min

In his best-known work, the pioneer of film effects Georges Méliès was inspired by the giants of literary sci-fi Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. The restored version of the hand-coloured copy of this 115-year-old film brings back to life its pompous design and inventive playfulness.

The Extraordinary Voyage shows the making of A Trip to the Moon by Georges Méliès and the attempt of French cinephiles make this legendary silent film complete. It features directors with an extensive knowledge and love of this immortal classic and respect for one of the founders of the film art.

Pandoo is an experimental-pop solo project of Jan Hrubý. In the beginnings he played violin and a looper, last year he released his first single and won two competitions: Starter at Radio Wave and 1Band2Play in Full Moon magazine. That enabled him to work on his first solo album Multitudes which will be released in the beginning of September. The album presents a mixture of electronic beats and a classic sound of violin and singing.
