Arriving home in Tallinn after a holiday in Portugal, Alice, a twenty-five-year-old costume designer, finds that the TV studio she works for has gone bankrupt. Her two friends Ada, a seamstress, and Jana, a make-up artist, are also unemployed. Alice talks them into starting a new company, which can provide people with everything they need to make their dreams come true. On the road to realizing her dream, Alice must confront the darker side of the business world and those hungry for fame at any cost, but rediscovers the power of love and enduring friendship. “Shop of Dreams” is a humorous, poignant but ultimately life-affirming film about women, friendship, love and life, Estonian style.
