Sound and Fury
(Khashm va Hayahoo) Director: Hooman Seyedi, IR, 2016, Farsi / Czech and English subtitles, 95 min
Told powerfully from a parallel male and a female point of view simultaneously, Sound and Fury bitterly draws the thin line between the blinding love and the fatal hate. Sinking deep into an irreparable fate after a dreadful incident, the two sides of a love affair are both obliged to recount their side of a gripping story in pursuit of the truth; one side still in love and the other in denial.
Born in 1980, Hooman Seyedi is one of the most celebrated figures of the young generation of the Iranian cinematography both in directing and acting. He started his career making several shorts and tele-movies before he moved on to feature films and made three successful films which were highly acclaimed nationally and internationally. Sound and Fury is Hooman’s latest work.
