Not One Less

In a remote mountain village a 13-year old girl is asked to substitute a missing teacher. She is promised money if there's not one less student when he returns. Within days, poverty forces one student to leave for the city work and the courageous girl sets on a trip to bring him back. The film touches upon very sensitive issues which however are masked by superficial proclamations about heroism and a happy-ending story and in this respect the film becomes exemplary of the effects of censorship.
