Hidden - festive closing of DEF

Hidden is another of Michael Haneke's explorations of the violence among us, which shows up unexpectedly, but has strong roots. It’s the story of Georges, the host of a TV literary review show, who receives packages containing videos of himself with his family - shot secretly from the street - and alarming drawings whose meaning is obscure. He has no idea who may be sending them. Clues gradually begin to accumulate indicating that the videos come from a person upon whom George clearly inflicted a terrible injustice during his childhood. As George confronts his own past, his tidy, cozy life comes into question.
