(Paroubkové) Director: Jan Látal, CZ, 2011, Czech version, 35 min
The film looks for reasons for the negative image that Jiří Paroubek has acquired in the media. The former Czech prime minister and leader of the Social-Democratic Party has been ridiculed and monstrously caricatured by some media and internet communities as evil incarnate, and as a disgusting figure that leads the country into perdition. The director printed his most famous portrait and set out to ask journalists, techno-fans and even the audience itself.
The screening will be held with the personal presence of the author of the film. A discussion will follow the screening. The screening is in partnership with the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.
