The Front Line

It is the last days of the Korean War; the peace negotiations are already taking place. An army commissioner is assigned to investigate the murder of an officer. He arrives at a unit that is still fighting the Northern forces over a strategic point which will play a crucial role in determining the soon-to-be-declared border between North and South. During his investigation, the commissioner unveils the relationships between soldiers within the unit but also across the front line. This war epic about the division of the Korean peninsula attracts the audience with spectacularly staged battle sequences but its main strength actually lies in engaging characters.
