Big as Brno

The May Day blockade of a neo-Nazi procession through the eyes of the students of FAMU (Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague). The documentary “Film jako Brno” is a unique project of 6 young documentary makers – students of FAMU – and their teacher Vít Klusák. In a single day, the 1st of May 2011, these seven film makers together with seven small film-crews documented the situation in the city of Brno.

The result of their endeavour is a film with seven chapters which depict – both playfully and thoughtfully – all imaginable sides of the barricades of this wild day: the neo-Nazi, the police, the politicians, the journalists, the Romany people, the blockaders and as the innocent party: the visitors and animals of the Brno Zoo.

The screening will be held with personel presence of Vít Klusák and the other co-authors of the film. The discussion will follow the screening.
