Outsiders

The project "OUTSIDERS" presents three short documentaries: "Behind the wire", "Children of Karosta" and "Pit-hole": These documentaries are linked with one topic - the life of the outsiders of society. "Behind the wire" describes the life of juvenile offenders in Latvia, who are spending their youth in prison, excluded from the world outside. "Children of Karosta" is a documentary about a family from the town of Karosta (a former submarine-factory). The story of a human life mirrors the fate of a slowly dying town. "Pit-hole" shows the life of a Ukrainian family who didn't accept the contemporary way of life. The family refused to move out of their original house, which is now surrounded by large blocks of flats.
