Agustí Villaronga, the director of the film, will introduce the film in person. Manuel y Ramallo tenían diez años cuando en Mallorca estalló la Guerra Civil, la cual les convirtió en testigos directos de la muerte violenta del padre de su amigo en un cementerio. Diez años más tarde, los dos vuelven a encontrarse en un sanatorio. Padecen de tuberculosis, pero cada uno asume la enfermedad de manera distinta: mientras que Ramallo prácticamente ignora la enfermedad, Manuel busca consuelo en la religión. Entre los dos hombres nace una relación intensa, basada en la fascinación de Manuel por la vitalidad de Ramallo y la admiración de Ramallo por la fe de Manuel. Sin embargo, la fe de éste va cediendo hasta que se da cuenta de que lo que siente por Ramallo es algo más que sólo amistad.

Two boys (Ramallo and Manuel) and a girl in the Spanish Civil War are involved in the death of other two boys, one killed, the other suicided. This terrible secret will be with them for all their lives. Years pass and they meet in a hospital for tuberculosis treatment. She is now a nun, Ramallo is a thief and Manuel is obsessed by religion.
