Belgium in French

Belgium is a country that is in size, population, history, and a co-existence of two distinct nations with separate languages, closer to the Czech Republic than you may think. One side represents a fusion of culture, tradition, and the French language. The other is marked by a pronounced affinity for beer, dark humor and imaginative trends that gave birth to surrealism. This category presents the newest Belgian short films, in French, selected in cooperation with the International French-language Film Festival after its 25th anniversary in October in the Belgian city of Namur.
