Subramaniyapuram

A surprise hit, this Tamil film received much acclaim for its original script, expert direction, editing and accurate sets and costumes. It is 1980 and Azaghar, Paraman, Kaasi, Dopaand Dumka are close and unemployed friends. They pass their time drinking and fooling around in the streets. Then Azaghar falls in love with a local girl, disturbing the dynamics of the group. Some of them are determined to break up the budding romance, leading to many unexpected developments.
