This sporting life

Film from the era of English new wave in 60s’ relates the story of coal miner Frank Machin who has an ambition to become a professional rugby-player. He redeems his success with too sever drudge and bitterness against himself and against others as well. When as a consequence of the game he loses his teeth, the negative point of the fame and rapid boom is shown, that lean on illusion what in fact is the happiness.
