Enter the Void

After their parents die in a car accident, little Oskar and Linda are separated. Years later they meet up in Tokyo. Oskar is a drug dealer, Linda works in a strip joint. They make a pact to never leave each other. One night Oscar is shot in police raid. But the promise he made doesn’t allow him to leave this world. His ghost wanders through Tokyo at night and reality begins to blur. The present starts blending with the past and the future, too, in this visually magnificent, yet terrifying cocktail. While filming this cinematic trip to the underworld director Gaspar Noé was inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead. The latest digital processes make Enter the Void a highly sensorial movie, hovering somewhere between reality and hallucination.
