Transsexualism is not a mental illness. Male and female are not the only exclusively valid gender identities. Pigeonholing is akin to terror. The protagonists of “Binding Words” are radical trans and intersexual activists who regularly challenge “unquestioned” conventional standards and analyze the origins of oppression and repression, which the trans and intersexual community still face.
