The Good, the Bad and the Weird

The biggest hit of this year and the tenth film in the All Time Top 10 revives the tradition of the so called Manchurian westerns. This category nearly forgotten in Korea and practically unknown abroad introduces films thematically similar to American westerns but set in Manchuria in the 1930’s. The acclaimed director Kim Ji-woon combines the inspiration in Sergio Leone’s classic The Good, the Bad and the Ugly with Korean tradition and the style of contemporary blockbusters.
