Anvil! The Story of Anvil

A band heavy enough to live up to the title of their anthem "Metal on Metal," Anvil roared out of Canada in the 1980s, influenced Metallica and Anthrax, headlined festivals with Bon Jovi and Scorpions, then disappeared. Screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, who roadied for Anvil as a kid, picks up the story two decades later in this real-life counterpart to This Is Spinal Tap. Boyhood chums and longtime bandmates Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Robb Reiner tenaciously pursue a return to rock glory, enduring a disastrous European tour (including a misbegotten night in Prague), family and financial troubles, and music industry humiliations.
