Jimmy on the hill

The fi lm is based on the novel by Massimo Carlotto. Jimmy who is almost eighteen, has lived his whole life with his family in Sarroch – a sleepy town in Southwest Sardinia. In this world, which is privy to share hopes and points of reference, Jimmy will fi nd himself living recklessly, leading him to the juvenile prison and all that comes with it. Delightful hills surround the juvenile prison where the young prisoners will be taught how to live life better in the future and lead an alternative way of life. Yet often, most young men like Jimmy will fi nd it easier to stick to their life leading to a form of auto destruction, instead of looking for a way out. One night Jimmy will have to make a decision which will forever change his life.
