Lab – Experiment and New Ways

As the hint of experimentation in the title suggests, this category includes films made with the use of new technology and unorthodox methods. Digital imagery, computer animation, a distinct time/space film structure and reconfiguring familiar images are techniques, which take films far beyond the limits of the ordinary. Nine films scattered somewhere between poetry and game. Even this year, Lab presents a rarely encountered form of film experience and a glimpse into the future and potential of cinematography, in which new technology overcomes the limits imposed on fantasy and creativity.
