Yella

Yella wants to leave everything behind and go West, where a job and a promising future seem to await her. In Hannover, she meets young and successful Philipp, who works for an equity firm. As his assistant, she proves herself capable in the world of venture capital, and something more than a business relationship develops between them. But time and again Yella´s new life gets complicated and she begins to worry that her new life could be too good to be true. Yella is already Christian Petzold´s eighth feature film, that tells the story of a young woman who seeks for her place in society. Leading actress Nina Hoss (The White Masai) won the Silver Bear at this year’s Berlinale for her performance in Yella.
