Four seasons, three generations of a Roma family, one Eastern Slovakian ghetto shortly before Slovakia’s EU membership: the life of the matriarchally defined family is not only determined by poverty, police’s arbitrary use of power, festivals, traditions and satellite television that serves as a window to the rest of Europe. Their financial situation deteriorates rapidly. As one member of the family gets arrested on false allegations the film team decides to intervene.
