If you are a fan of Kino Světozor and would like to become a member of the family, you can adopt one of the new chairs and become of member of the Adoptive Parents Club for the next five years!
The first adoptive parents are:

"I see Cinema Světozor as an important space for realising the best of film production. It is more over managed by people, who not only know and love film, but who have retained a child-like enthusiasm and a sense of humour. I truly respect the invitation to become the godparent of one of its seats, which I regard as a proof of the above mentioned qualities."
"Meet in Světozor, near the tram. They show great films. Stay cool, yours P3."
vice>"CINEMACLUBFEEDERS We love club and documentary films. We are glad that this way we can – at least a little bit – support a club cinema, where we like going and not only because we live nearby."
"I like film. So I also like cinema Světozor and its friend Aero. I take this as an opportunity to express my thanks."
M.Baumbruck director and a camera man, L.Kny producer and director, Nella and Daniel, surely too gifted offspring :-) A wish to Světozor: "We hope that there will always be enough people, who, like us, happily let themselves to the alchemy of film stories and that cinemas will always be full. Thumbs up for Světozor!"
"I am only 9 months old, but from my parents I already know that Světozor is the best cinema in town :) So I am very happy I will have my own little seat there."
"We thank Michelle for this great present. Hopefully she will spend more time in Prague so that she could look after our little Alice, while we are enjoying a nice evening in the beautiful cinema Světozor!"
"Why did I want to contribute to a seat in Světozor? At least symbolically I wanted to thank my favourite cinemas Aero and Světozor for being there and for keeping space for film as art. Several years ago I was working on a translation of a very famous and very complex Italian canzona from the middle ages. For three years, again and again it failed to come to life. And at that time, Světozor was screening Bergman’s Seventh Seal. There were only three of us in the cinema. For me, the experience from the philosophical film merged with the experience of the philosophical canzona, and I finally could finish it. I know that the cinema has lost on us three viewers. So now I want to thank it for my canzona."
"A married couple of lawyers, who like to enjoy a good work of others too."
"I like the normal classic and yet beautiful things – go for a coffee, drink it out of a real cup, then go to a cinema, where there is nobody constantly crunching, to see a great film, and all this in the centre of my beloved Prague."
The Theatre Company.cz, the operator of theatre Strašnice, offers its guests a colourful program shedding light on new horizons, opening new worlds and cultures, stepping beyond the troubles of the everyday. The ambition of the Theathre Company.cz is to fill in the gap existing on the contemporary theatre map, where the worlds of the alternative and the classical theatre are divided. Company.cz does not want to lose the tradition and professionalism of classic theatres, but sees its place nearer to the alternative and the experimental. To our eyes. Světozor, a cinema that we all like, is similar. We wish Světozor a program as good as it has been so far, a lot of nice viewers and an adoptive parent to each of its seats.
"Adoption is one of the excellent ideas of a fantastic group of film fans, I adopted the seat because otherwise they wouldn’t take me out for lunch with them again."
Martin Tomášek, a motorcycle fan: "I liked a lot the TV add offering a seat in Světozor for adoption and as this cinema has been one of my favourite since elementary school, I am glad to adopt."
"As a person with a clerk’s past, present and probably even future, I would like to express my extraordinary gladness from the great company in which I find myself in Světozor."
"Cinema Světozor was the first cinema that I visited after moving to Prague. My friends took me there when I showed my relustance against the commercial multiplex cinemas. I like its focus on art and therefore I participate in its preservation."
"Světozor is the only cinema in Prague, which shows magical and quality films, but above all it has the wonderful atmosphere of the wonderful past times. Even though it has been reconstructed recently, I believe that this intoxicating atmosphere will be projected into the new interior and Světozor will keep shining on the Prague silver screen sky. All the best to Světozor wishes Karolína Babíčková, a student of the Literary Academy of Josef Škvorecký, a poetess and a little bit an actress too."
Lada is Project Manager at DHL, Prague... She is the best movie companion. Films at Svetozor will be even better than before for her, now that it has a makeover...good times for all.
We're convinced that SVETOZOR and AERO truly deserve the support. So, here it is. We're keeping the fingers crossed more many great ideas and many lots of quality and enjoyable movie time.
An adoptive double seat to happy users, jovially: “You, who are sitting here, rest in peace :-))”
Michelle Iseminger, a Senior Programme Officer at the United Nations World Food Programme. Currently based in Juba, Sudan, Africa. Film and fun is my such an integral part of my life. I could never pass up the chance to share the experience with friends and adopt seats at Svetozor Cinema.
"There is nothing like falling asleep with the feeling of doing a good deed :-)"
"I spent the nineties in art cinemas but lately I neglect them. I hope that this congenial idea of film fans will bring me back to the good company of thoughtful audiences."
"Meet in Světozor, near the tram. They show great films. Stay cool, yours P3."
vice>Yes, I am not local. But I must proclaim: "Where would the National theatre be, if it were not for the countryside!"
